Our interview on Cult of Pop

Hey all, I haven’t had much time to write anything for my blog in a while, so I thought I’d let everyone know that there’s an interview with Hania and I on Cult of Pop here:

In other news, the last couple of weeks I’ve been teaching special FX in Flash, which I’m thinking would make a great series of posts. Does anyone know how to get swf files into blogger? I’m also having problems with formatting and layout, and considering changing to a different blog provider. Are there any blog experts out there who can give me advice?

    Thanks for the mention guys!!

If you have a server that you host "Tarboy.com" on then you should be able to create a subdomain for your blog and upload a wordpress template to it through your cpanel…. email me if you want…(wordpress is the best!!)

I agree on Jonathan in here, WordPress is the best blog you can get, very easy to costumize, and easy to learn.

James and Hania, I just wanted to pop in and thank you for posting the link to the interview. I found it very interesting to have a bit of a behind the scenes look at what you do. I am, at this point, a rabid fan of Tarboy and the rest of your collaborative works on this site. I can't tell you how excited I am to be here on the ground floor, witnessing the production of something epic. I am eagerly anticipating the release of Tarboy II and whatever else you two might have in the works. Keep up the great work!

Final note: Hania, the song you left with COP is really top notch in my opinion. I loved it. :) Also, sorry I don't have any advice on the blog issue. I'll admit, this comment is purely to soothe my inner fan-boy.

did you try windows live writer?
it offers good integration into blogger with good editing capabilities.
it is not word-press for sure.
but if you are thinking about a quick solution , this might help

I'm no expert, but I don't think Blogger currently has direct support for SWF files. You can get around this by hosting the SWF on some third party service (I use Fileden myself) and embedding the SWF in your post. Quite easy to do.

    Hope that helps!

    Heya James and Hania!

I just saw Tarboy and I was absolutely blown away, fantastic job! Cool to hear you're ambitious to make a feature, Space godfather eh? Nice!

Was thrilled to see this film had come out of Brisbane too, I studied at QCA waaay back in 2001.

How's everything going with the merchandising? Making much of a profit out of it?

    Can't wait for Tarboy 2!

    Just saw Tarboy. Nice work.

As for the SWF question, what I've done on my own blog is create a Google Pages account, upload the desired SWF there and then link directly to that location in Blogger. A bit roundabout perhaps, but it works.
